~Love Thyself~
| | This is the month that all of the "lovey dovey hub-bub" begins! For most mothers, some who may be newly pregnant, others who may be holding new babies, or tending to wobbley toddlers or pregnant again, all know that our new "first Love" came in the form of our sweet babies. Once women become mothers Valentines day takes on a whole new meaning! or rather a re-visioning the "reality" of the month of love!
This year we decided to create the theme Love Thyself, and we cannot think of a better theme to send out to our group of mothers all in various stages of pregnancy and postpartum, as well as to the many 'Grandmothers" on our list that have signed up to stay in the "Loop" on behalf of their daughters, who all know how easy it is to forget to care for ourselves! Here is a link to an article entitled Taking Care of Mom after Baby Arrives ~Enjoy~

Choosing to work with Juliet's Room {besides the fact that we love their products and the owner} was about our love for their philosophy, as it ties in perfectly with our theme this month ~Love Thyself~
Juliet's Room was inspired by the idea of Juliet {from Romeo and Juliete} having a place or room of her own. The name is meant to evoke a sense of sanctuary, a place where a woman can feel safe to explore her thoughts and dreams and what it means to be a female.
Juliet's Room skin care products while also being all organic are luxurious and very feminine-we love the Vanilla body butter! This company is run with ethical and sustainable principles at its core-need we say more!

| * Chocolate Bliss Balls * | | | Valentines Day Recipe: Chocolate Bliss balls
These balls are super healthy and sweet at the same time! I love them for putting in my kids lunches as well as to take on car trips and hikes as a snack. If you are making these for valentine's day for those you love-Try dipping them in organic melted chocolate before rolling them in the coconut, and letting them harden in the freezer-Yum! Makes about 25-30 balls depending on the size you choose. Ingredients ½ cup small semi sweet Chocolate chips 1 cup puffed millet or rice ½ cup sesame seeds ½ cup sunflower seeds ½ cup honey ½ cup tahini or peanut butter 1 cup almond meal 1 cup chopped nuts such as almonds, cashews or pistachio's 1 cup chopped dried fruit To make: Place all the dry ingredients in a food processor or blender and mix. Gradually add the tahini and honey and blend until it forms a chunky paste. Roll into balls and coat with shredded coconut-or if you want to take it to another level dip into melted chocolate and let harden! The above measurements can be changed or added to as you like. Another variation is to, press mixture into a greased tray, to make bars and then bake in the oven at 250 until brown.
