Second Edition!

I'm currently in the beginning stages of writing a second edition to this book. Why a second edition you ask? Well, technology is constantly changing and improving and I want to make sure that I am presenting the most accurate information possible to my readers. In addition, the book includes a large online resources section, and there are many new and exciting businesses and organizations that I want to add. In light of new information about their products, there will also be some businesses that I will remove. I also want to add a few new chapters including a section for the "Eco-dude" in the Eco-Babe's life.

While I compile my research I'm also looking for new Eco-Babe businesses to spotlight, as well as new tips from real Eco-Babes. So if you want to contribute a tip, trick, recipe, etc. Please write to me at babesguide@gmail.com. Please include your full name, occupation, and city/state.

The best contributions will be published in the second edition of the book. I look forward to hearing your wonderful ideas!

Stephanie's Written a Book!

Happy Holidays!
I know you are probably really busy this holiday season, which is why I will make this email short. I have recently finished writing my first book and it is now officially available for purchase. It's entitled: An Eco-Babe's Guide to Greening It: Everything a Modern Woman needs to know to live an Eco-Friendly life for better health and a better tomorrow.  If you are interested in getting your hands on a copy, please visit  https://www.createspace.com/3356626. This webpage allows you to purchase the book direcly from the publisher. For further information about the book, visit my website at www.stephaniebyng.com.

Here is a short blurb from the introduction of the book:

An Eco-Babes Guide to Greening It

is a tool that will help you live
sustainably for better health and a cleaner world. You will learn how to
smell sweet, look chic, have a sparkling home, and much more, without
toxic chemicals and forced child labor. By the time you finish this book,
you will be armed with the knowledge necessary to make informed and
contentious decisions about your lifestyle.

Babes and Their Bodies is all about cleaning, maintaining, and
beautifying our bodies. We will discus the various toxic products we use
and their alternative natural products. This section also discusses how to
shop for organic products and how to make your own spa quality beauty
products. I spotlight green diets in
The Yummy Tummy and provide
recipes so you can try them yourself.
Finally, we will discuss
sweatshops and fabric in
What Are You Wearing. You will find helpful
resources at the end of each chapter, and the super
Internet Shopping
Guide
in the Appendix. The Internet Shopping Guide contains links to
all products mentioned in the book as well as additional products and
resources. If you're looking for quick information, this is the place to
go.

Babes at Home

is all about detoxing your home. I take you through
every room of the house and address the various health and
environmental hazards. Here you will find the cleaning guide, which
includes product recommendations and even recipes so you can make
your own cleaning products.
Composting – Not just for farmers
anymore,
will take you step-by-step in setting up your own compost
heap, which you can do even if you are an urban babe. This section also
includes information on recycling, freecyling and greening your pets.

Babes with Babies

discusses diapers, toys, clothes and even furniture for
your little ones. I've included
The Lil' Yummy Tummy
for mothers
wanting to green their children's diets as well. Be sure to check out the
Internet Shopping Guide at the end of the book for everything from
slings to baby socks.

Finally,

Babes at Work is a guide to ways in which you can green your
workplace. No matter where you work, you should find ways to not only
save the company some money, but also ways to create a healthy and
productive work environment as well.

This book also spotlights righteous women-owned and operated
businesses that are working hard to run sustainably and provide amazing
services for us. It's not easy being a business for and of women, in
today's world. That is why it's important to support out sisters who are
breaking glass ceilings, rocking boats and shaking foundations. In
addition, the book contains tips, tricks and stories from real women
about what they do to live a greener life. It is my hope that the stories
you read about these businesses and fellow eco-babes will empower and
inspire you.
